You can make a difference for a homeless Veteran
We all dream of having a roof over our heads. In fact, it’s the big Aussie dream many of us work hard to get.
Imagine having served your country – whether at home or overseas, in combat or peacekeeping mission, helping in times of natural or man-made disasters. Men and women who have once served our country with pride and distinction, are living rough or homeless.
Almost 6,000 Veterans find themselves homeless every year. Veterans are 4.5 times more likely to be homeless than any other group in Australia, experiencing difficulties adjusting to civilian life without physical, mental and emotional support.
Veteran Housing Australia is a registered charity. Our goal is to ensure that every homeless Veteran, no matter where they live, when they served or their personal circumstances, have a place to call home.
Our Veteran support programs depend on financial donations helping us to end Veteran homelessness in Australia and to empower Veterans to succeed. We believe secure and safe housing provides Veterans and their families with a stable base from which they can thrive.
