
Rob enlisted in the Army in 1998, serving 16 years with 6 RAR and 8/7 RVR, including deployments to East Timor (2000) and the Solomon Islands (2007). Rising to Corporal, he proudly calls his time as a Section Commander “the best job in the Army.”
Rob holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), and has completed executive education at UC Berkeley, the Indian School of Business, and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany.
His commercial experience spans senior leadership roles with Olin Corporation, Community Care Chemist, and public accounting firms, alongside nearly a decade as a Company Secretary.

Declan entered the Veteran Support Manager role in 2021, combining experiences in both the Australian Army Reserve and as a qualified counsellor to provide veterans with holistic and empathic support.
Declan is the frontline contact for the organisation and can assist with welfare support, crisis housing, permanent housing intake and also mental health support. His responsibilities extend to liaising and collaborating with other organisations and establishing networks to best support our veterans. Declan has an undeniable heart for veterans and is dedicated to seeing our wonderful community thrive.

Olivia has been the General Manager at Veteran Housing Australia since 2022 and brings with her a wealth of knowledge from previous management roles. As the GM, Olivia provides professional leadership and oversees the day-to-day business administration, governance, projects and services.
Her responsibility also includes the overall development and management of operations and promotes the strategic direction and growth for the organisation which includes maintaining strong partnerships with government, funders, external partners and stakeholders.

For over six years, Sue has led all marketing, communications, and digital engagement for Veteran Housing Australia and Carry On — overseeing everything from rebrands and website management to storytelling and event coordination.
A true all-rounder, Sue wears many hats in the not-for-profit world. Her days span managing social media channels, crafting impactful campaigns, producing creative content, and driving awareness through events such as the annual VHA Charity Golf Day.
With a strong background in digital strategy, SEO, and content marketing, Sue has built campaigns that connect deeply with audiences while expanding reach and engagement. Her passion lies in purpose-driven storytelling — using marketing as a force for good.
For Sue, the most rewarding part of the role is seeing the tangible difference VHA and Carry On make in the lives of veterans and their families — a reminder that every message, every campaign, and every story matters.
