Every veteran’s journey is unique, and the reasons they reach out for support are many. What remains constant is our commitment—we work tirelessly to ensure veterans and their families receive the help they need. Hear directly from those whose lives have been changed through our support.

Homelessness isn’t just an issue for the unemployed or mentally ill—it’s a reality that’s just a step away for many of us, especially with the current housing crisis.

Take Paul, a dedicated veteran who served 13 years with the Australian Army in the RAA and RACT. Facing homelessness while his wife was eight months pregnant and after 300 rental rejections, Paul was on the brink of living out of their car.

But thanks to a referral from RSL Victoria to Veteran Housing Australia, their story took a positive turn. VHA had a two-bedroom home in Noble Park, close to their previous community.

Maddi is one of many veterans we’ve supported when life took an unexpected turn. After repeated rental application rejections, her family was on the brink of homelessness.
