The Victorian Government’s Veterans Card provides access to great discounts and benefits.
Available to all past and present ADF members living in Victoria, including reservists, the card provides access to a range of state government benefits designed to make everyday life easier. From transport to vehicle costs and recreation, the card delivers real, tangible savings.
Key benefits include:
- $100 discount on the registration of one vehicle
- free public transport on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day
- free trailer and caravan registration
- fishing licence exemption
- free marine licence or annual renewal of a marine licence. This includes a complimentary personal watercraft (e.g. jet ski) endorsement. It does not include the training and tests you need to take to get your marine licence.
- access to Victorian Government veteran-specific employment programs.
All eligible veterans are welcome to apply for the Veterans Card in the Service Victoria app – the easy, secure and private way to store and show your new Veterans Card on your phone. The application process is easy and only takes 5 minutes.

- download the Service Victoria app on your smartphone’s app store, or
- visit Veterans Card – Victoria on the Service Victoria webpage.
To take advantage of your Veterans Card discounts and benefits, you can either present the card in your Service Victoria app or quote the card number sent to your email address.
